Treatment Types

Braces, also known as “Brackets”, are the most common appliance an orthodontist uses to correct tooth problems. Advances in dental technology have resulted in smaller, more comfortable and more efficient brackets of many types and styles.

The type of bracket best suited to you depends on many factors, and our doctors will recommend the most effective and comfortable option for your type of malocclusion.

Orthodontic treatment can be completed in one full-length treatment, called Comprehensive Orthodontic Treatment; or it can be separated into two separate “phases” of treatment called Phase I and Phase II. Our practice most often places “Braces” during Phase II Treatment or for Comprehensive Orthodontic treatment.
